Kenwood (Sonoma Valley), CA, July 23, 2012 - When Kenwood Vineyards invited fans to tell how they fell in love with its wines in the Kenwood Vineyards "Go To" Sonoma Contest, the response was overwhelming. A total of 3,041 entries were received, evaluated and judged on quality, originality and creativity. Selected from eight finalists, the Grand Prize winner of the Kenwood Vineyards "Go To" Sonoma Contest is Molly Coulter of Morehead City, NC.

In their entries, contestants described the ways Kenwood Vineyards became their "go to" Sonoma County wine - on first dates, for memorable moments, as enduring traditions and more. Winner Coulter captured the power of such an experience in her account of how she and her husband - both in the U.S. Marines - use gifts of Kenwood Vineyards wine, given prior to their frequent deployments with instructions "to be used as needed," as reminders of their love for one another and reassurance of their future together. As the Grand Prize winner of the Kenwood Vineyards "Go To" Sonoma Contest, Ms. Coulter will enjoy a luxurious four-day, three-night trip for two to Sonoma County, including round-trip coach airfare to San Francisco, lodging, all meals, a VIP tour of Kenwood Vineyards, a sampler of Sonoma County activities and ground transportation. The other finalists each will receive a deluxe picnic backpack, equipped with all the accoutrements for future Sonoma County adventures.
