2013 Reserve Chardonnay

This 2013 Kenwood Reserve Chardonnay was sourced from vineyards located in Russian River Valley, Sonoma County’s premier Chardonnay appellation, where the nearby ocean’s cooling influence preserves the grapes natural acidity and fresh fruit character. Fruit forward aromas of Fuji apple, pear and lime combine with spicy notes of vanilla and toasty oak, rich body with a long finish.

Winemaker Notes

Much like the prior vintage the 2013 vintage harvest was exceptional with nearly perfect weather and a bountiful crop. Harvested in late September the fruit was whole-cluster pressed and settled before fermentation in French oak barrels. After undergoing malolactic fermentation, the wine was aged on the lees for seven months. After aging was complete, the winemakers tasted individual barrels of our most flavorful lots of Chardonnay to select the best to make up this truly reserve wine.

Food Pairings
