Kenwood Vineyards’ 2012 Sonoma County Zinfandel was primarily sourced from select vineyards located in the Sonoma Valley and Dry Creek Valley appellations. Complex aromas of ripe raspberry, thimbleberry and liquorice join spicy notes of white pepper and cinnamon. Full-bodied with delicate tannins provide an elegant and long finish.
Like the prior vintage, the 2013 growing was dry and temperate with excellent weather for producing superior wine grapes. Harvest began last September when the individual vineyards reached their peak of flavor. Each vineyard lot was fermented and aged separately in 75% French and 25% American oak barrels for 20 months.
Our Sonoma County Zinfandel is delicious with rich tomato-based casseroles and barbecued pork.
