OUR FAVORITE PARKS

Jack London State Historic Park: This 1,400-acre state park tells the story of famed writer/adventurer Jack London who made Glen Ellen and the Sonoma Valley his home. Explore the cottage, Beauty Ranch, Wolf House ruins, and the House of Happy Walls Museum. The diverse landscape is rich in natural beauty with more than 26 miles of trails and stunning vistas. Learn more

Crane Creek Regional Park: Featuring rolling grasslands and beautiful oaks, this 128-acre park has more than 3 miles of trails. The trails cover rolling terrain, through meadows and oak woodlands. During early fall, you can still appreciate the meadows covered in wildflowers. Learn more

Spring Lake: This is one of the most popular parks in Sonoma County. Featuring trails, boating, and camping, it provides a variety of activities for the whole family. Our personal favorites are the Fisherman’s Trail and the Horse Loop trails, which offer less-traveled routes around the lake to connect with the wilderness. Learn more

Sugarloaf Ridge State Park: This amazing natural State Park located in Kenwood is a haven of almost 4,000 acres. Connect with Kenwood’s nature in the 25 miles of trails for hiking and horseback riding that Sugarloaf Ridge State Park has to offer. Look closely within the oak woodland and the chaparral to meet Sonoma’s wildlife: deer, gray foxes, bobcats, and coyotes. Learn more

Sonoma overlook trail: Connect with nature in this pleasant 3-mile hike. This trail offers beautiful views of Sonoma and allows you to discover a diverse array of native animals and plants. Reach the top to get a spectacular view of the town of Sonoma, the Sonoma Valley, and the Bay Area. Learn more

Trione-Annadel State Park: In the heart of Santa Rosa, Trione-Annadel State Park is a favorite of our Kenwood Vineyard team. This park offers miles of trails for mountain biking, hiking, and trail riding. Our recommendation for wildflower lovers is to hike around Lake Ilsanjo, where you will find a great variety of flowers. Although the best months to visit are April and May, you may see some plants bloom as late as September. Learn more
