The Road Less Traveled: Stay at Autocamp
It’s our humble opinion that Sonoma County is one of the best spots to visit in Northern California. Seeing as our wine hails from the area, it’s no surprise we have serious Sonoma pride. With a bounty of vineyards and outdoor spots to explore, Sonoma County is any wine and adventure enthusiasts' ultimate destination. Our spirit of exploration means we’re always looking for new places to visit in the area. Which is how we discovered the quaint yet modern Autocamp.
Autocamp is nestled along the Russian River just south of the Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve. The location is prime for anyone looking to visit the area to check out the greenery as well as pop into some local spots for grub. The retreat provides the perfect mixture of outdoor fun with all the amenities of a 5 star Airbnb. The Airstreams are geared up with everything you need to stoke your own campfire. The communal hanging areas are even stocked with savory sausages and snacks perfect for grilling over an open flame. All you’ll need is a bottle of Kenwood to complete the stay.
When picking up a bottle of Kenwood for the trip, reach for a wine made from our Russian River Valley vineyards. The Russian River carves a rugged gap in the coastal mountains of Sonoma County, building a route for cooling afternoon breezes and morning fog that creates the unique terroir of the Russian River Valley. The mild growing conditions are ideal for producing rich and full flavored Pinot Noir. The saying goes, “when in Rome”, which is why we suggest drinking our Russian River Pinot Noir while enjoying the Russian River and all that Autocamp has to offer.
We recommend making friends with your fellow guests at one of the communal fire pits or inviting others to scoot in around a fire of your own. Each Airstream is set up with its own personal fire pit to give you the option. Share stories of the past while you create memories for the future.
