2018 San Joaquin | Sonoma Zinfandel

Sourced from two of California’s best regions for Zinfandel: San Joaquin County and Sonoma County. The warm growing season and sandy soils of San Joaquin County produce Zinfandel with rich, peppery aromas that are the ideal balance with the concentrated ripe fruit characteristics from grapes in Sonoma County. The 2018 vintage was mild and dry allowing extended hang-time without worry of rain or desiccation. We fermented vineyard blocks from both regions separately and after oak aging, chose the best wines to combine for this unique blend.

Winemakers Notes

Blackcurrant jam fruitiness with a hint of turmeric spiciness on the nose. The palate is soft and lush with ripe red plum, smokiness, and a hint of white pepper and tarragon in the finish.
