Jack London Dry Farmed Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
Vintages:

Jack London Dry Farmed Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Located in the Sonoma Mountain AVA above the dense fog level, the Jack London vineyards are one of the most unique terroirs in California. Influenced by Jack London’s passion for improving the land and farming sustainably, the steeply terraced vineyards benefit from morning sun followed by indirect light in the heart of the afternoon. The long, cool growing season of this area creates a beautiful complexity and balance in the fruit.

Winemakers Notes

The 2019 vintage had a wet spring followed by summer temperatures typical for Sonoma Mountain leading to even ripening. The early season soil moisture allowed us to let the fruit hang for longer than 2018, leading to an October 25th pick date. The grapes were fermented on the skins for 19 days before being drained and the free run sent to barrel. the wine aged 18 months in oak barrels, the majority of which were French oak and around 65% new oak barrels.
