Single Vineyard Yoakim Bridge Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Our Yoakim Bridge Estate Vineyard is located at the northwestern end of Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley. The vineyard has rocky well-drained soil; this combined with its inland location gives it the perfect terroir for producing intensely flavored wines with excellent structure. Although the Yoakim Bridge Ranch has been one of the best Cabernets in our vineyard portfolio for nearly two decades the 2013 vintage marks it inaugural release as a vineyard designate.

Winemakers Notes

2015 had an earlier than usual bud break, and extended high temperatures in August and September led to a compact and early harvest. The grapes were hand harvested and fermented on the skins for 14 days with regular pump overs. After pressing, the wine was aged in French oak barrels for 26 months. Aromas of cherry, raspberry, sage and black currant are balanced by vanilla and a slight touch of savory characters of hickory smoke, leading to a long lingering finish.
