Winemakers Notes

The 2013 vintage had a long and dry growing season with mild temperatures making for nearly perfect conditions for producing superior Zinfandel. Harvest of our Dry Creek Zinfandel began September 21st and lasted until the October 12th with each vineyard being picked after it reached its maximum of flavor. The fruit was then crushed and destemmed before fermentation on the skins for three weeks. The young wine was pressed and settled before transfer into American and French oak barrels for 19 months. After aging was complete, our finest quality barrels were carefully selected and blended for bottling.
