Sonoma County Pinot Gris 2014
One of our most critically acclaimed wines, Kenwood’s 2014 Pinot Gris was sourced from a pair of vineyards that are located in the renowned Russian River Valley. Here the cool evenings and morning fog preserve the enticing fruit aromas and natural acidity of Pinot Gris.
Harvested on a cool morning in early October, the grapes were swiftly brought to the winery to be pressed. After settling, the juice was fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel tanks to preserve the natural acidity and fruit flavor of the wine. Before bottling, small amounts of Muscat Canelli and Gewürztraminer were added to the blend to provide additional complexity to the palate and aroma.
