Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc 2017
We selected vineyards for our Sauvignon Blanc from both, the cooler appellations of Sonoma County to give the wine a crisp style with citrus characteristics, and from the warmer Sonoma Valley to add melon and tropical fruit flavors. The result is a remarkably well-balanced wine.
The growing season of the 2017 vintage was ideal for early ripening varieties like Sauvignon Blanc. These vineyards were all picked prior to dramatic heat waves that hit in late September. Harvest of the individual vineyard lots for our Sauvignon Blanc began on August 25th at the peak of flavor, and ended on September 20th. We pressed the grapes directly to stainless steel tanks and fermented each block separately. The wines were maintained in those stainless steel tanks to maximize the fresh, fruity, delicate flavors until the time came to create the final blend. The wine was produced without any barrel aging or malolactic fermentation to bring out the full varietal character of a Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc.Download Full Details
