Rosé of Pinot Noir 2016

The Sonoma Coast is known for its cool climate and long growing season due to the cooling breezes from the nearby Pacific Ocean. This unique terroir is ideal for producing Pinot Noir with intense flavors and strong character. The 2016 vintage had a long and mild growing season with slightly below average rainfall, resulting in a wine with a supple and rich mouthfeel and a lively finish.

Winemakers Notes

The grapes were harvested on September 8th, destemmed and left to sit on the skins for 10 hours which gives the wine its pink color. Unlike our red wine made from Pinot Noir, we use stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures for fermentation to preserve the fresh fruity aroma of the rose, and let the wine settle for several months before bottling.
