CROSS SPRINGS RANCH VINEYARDS

Cross Springs Ranch is perched on a hilltop overlooking Long Valley in Lake County at around 1,500 feet elevation. Typical of the area the soil is red, iron rich, but nutrient poor volcanic soil in which the vines struggle. Typically a late ripening variety, this vineyard’s Petit Verdot finds a balance in this climate and soil and is at its peak mid harvest. This struggle ultimately yields a wine with a density that never disappoints.
