Located on the plains of the Russian River Valley, the Ricioli vineyard has an alluvial clay-loam soil composition that is characteristic of this AVA. The land is quite fertile and an excellent match to the vigorous vines of the variety. It is planted to the Musque clone of Sauvignon Blanc which give the wine an intense floral aroma.
