The Barn Chardonnay 2018
The wine opens with aromas of caramelized pear, toasty oak and lemon meringue, underscored by interesting notes of brioche, nutmeg and cocoa bean. The palate is rich and well-structured with bright flavors of Meyer Lemon cream pie, subtle nuances of tropical guava and a lingering finish.
Winemakers Notes
Once they find that special vineyard that outperformed all others, the next task is to taste through the 200 to 400 barrels and find the finest 20 which not only need to be delicious and represent the vineyard but blend perfectly with each other-a difficult task but a labor of love.
