They say it’s the most wonderful time of the year and we couldn’t agree more. With friends and family gathering to celebrate the holidays over warm hearty meals, beautiful decorations adorning the streets of Sonoma, and all the well-known classic jingles on repeat, it’s hard not to get into the spirit of the season. But all the excitement can sometimes lead to waves of stress, we find ourselves compelled to venture into crowded shopping malls in search of the perfect gift for all our loved ones. Once we’ve entered the sea of frantic shoppers, we’re at a loss for what items everyone may need or want. That’s why this year we’re going for a new approach, rather than searching for material items we’re giving the gift of joy with the handy “Giving Guide”.

Don’t just take a hike give a hike

Bundling up with your buddies and inviting everyone out for a hike can be a great way to warm up during the holiday. Once you get your blood flowing you’ll be able to take in the beauty of nature in the winter. After venturing out into the cold for a refreshing hike we like to reward ourselves with a glass of our Jack London Vineyard Sonoma Mountain Zinfandel.

Share a story around the fire

Huddling around the fire is a cozy experience that should be shared with friends and family alike. Sharing the moment by sharing a story is a great way to bring warmth and happiness that can’t be found in a box. Reminiscing on the good old days will help put a smile on everyone’s face. We like to pass around a bottle of our Sonoma Coast Sauvignon Blanc while we’re at it.

Donate clothing or houseware

Unused clothing can find a new purpose when donated to a local charity shop. You may not know the person you are giving the gift to, but donating clothing can be a great way to give back during the holidays. While you rummage through the items at the back of your closet you can enjoy a glass of Dry Creek Valley Merlot.

We hope our “Giving Guide” brings you joy and we hope you enjoy your holidays with a bottle of Kenwood.
