2022 featured several curve balls from Mother Nature with frost in the spring, continued drought conditions and a large heat spike in early September. Fortunately, the late spring and entire summer conditions were along the lines of average and ideal temperatures in the Russian River Valley. Our Olivet Pinot Noir grapes were night harvested on September 12th. We destemmed the grapes into stainless steel tanks and fermented for 9 days on the skins before
sending the free run to oak barrels where the wine aged 9 months.
