CAMPFIRE S’MORES WITH CHERRY COMPOTE

INGREDIENTS

10-15 high quality marshmallows
3-4 dark chocolate bars – broken into chunks
15 graham crackers
1/2 cup roasted hazelnuts – chopped

1 package cherries or 2 cups fresh cherries if available
1/3 cup sugar
3/4 cup red wine
1 T lemon juice

DIRECTIONS

Cherry compote
Heat red wine in sauce pan with sugar until reduced by half. Add cherries, lemon juice and a pinch of salt, cook until thickened. Taste and adjust if needed.

Assemble s’more and grill over campfire.
